Dear Colleagues,
We still have plenty of room available in the OB Research Incubator PDW coming up in Vancouver. This PDW is an excellent opportunity to get individualized feedback on a research project from some of the field's foremost experts. This is a great opportunity for promising doctoral students, junior faculty, and anyone wishing to expand their network and get feedback in a low risk environment from some of the best minds in OB. The call for proposals is provided below. We strongly encourage you to apply, or to encourage those in your network who you think might benefit to apply.
7th Annual OB Research Incubator at AOM Annual Conference
Vancouver, CA
We invite you to submit a research proposal for the 7th Annual "OB Research Incubator", a Preconference Development Workshop that provides an exciting opportunity for researchers to receive constructive feedback and guidance from some of OBs most productive scholars. This session is open to junior and senior scholars who are conducting research on OB-related topics.
During the session, participants will meet in a small group setting with leading OB scholars, who will provide direct and specific feedback on participant submitted research proposals. Feedback will be particularly focused on helping you address the challenges you are currently facing in bringing a project to fruition.
Pre-approval of a research proposal is required for registration. Please limit submissions to 5 – 6 double spaced pages (not including references) and include the following four sections:
I. Brief Abstract and four keywords
II. Overview of the research
a. Research topic
b. Conceptual framework
c. Research questions
d. Methods
III. Challenges (these are the areas on which you would like to focus discussion). Please list specific questions you'd like a panelist to answer.
IV. References
Please send research proposals to Michael Johnson (mdj3@u.washington.edu) using the subject line "OB Research Incubator" by Friday June 26, 2015. Once your proposal is approved, we will send the registration code. At that point, interested participants can register online at the AOM PDW website https://secure.aomonline.org/PDWReg. To maintain an intimate setting, we will accept only a limited number of submissions based on the quality of the proposal, fit with the expertise of our panel, and timeliness (early submissions will be given preference).
The workshop will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2015, 11:45 AM –1:45 PM, at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver in Georgia Ballroom A. Additional details about this session can be found at the AOM PDW website.
