  • 1.  Query on Organizational Identity - quantitative studies

    Posted 07-20-2011 00:49
    Dear Colleagues,

I am pursuing a doctoral program on organizational Identity. I would be keen to know if anybody has used quantitative techniques for understanding OI and if yes, what aspects of the identity was explored through this methodology?

My work is in the area of OI change and while I have found many very good conceptual papers and qualitative studies (mainly case method) I am also keen to understand the scope of quantitative methods in this area.

    Yours sincerely,

    Dear Mohua,

You may also check the following one published at ASQ by Shelley Brickson who used mixed methods to analyze org identity orientation from multi-levels. It's a good one framing the construct of org identity orientation. Not sure it relates closely to your interests, but you may take a look at it.

Brickson, S. (2005). Organizational identity orientation: Forging a link between organizational identity and organization's relations with Stakeholders, Administrative Science Quarterly, 50, 576-609.

    Good luck on your research~
