Organizational Behaviour and/or Human Resources Management - Tenure Track Positions - Assistant and Associate Professor Level
The DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University invites applications for up to two tenure-track positions in Organizational Behaviour and/or Human Resources Management, one at the rank of Assistant Professor (junior or senior) and the other at the rank of either Associate or Assistant Professor (subject to budgetary approval). The appointments will commence July 1, 2016, although an earlier appointment date is possible.
For the first position (at the rank of Assistant Professor) we are seeking an individual with a PhD with concentrated studies in Human Resources Management or Organizational Behaviour and with expertise or demonstrated research capability in data analytics and/or leadership. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to teaching and supervision in our PhD program and to teaching in our undergraduate, MBA, and executive development programs, including EMBA. Courses that the successful candidate will be expected to teach include a subset of the following: organizational behaviour, human resources management, management skills development, negotiation, leadership, HR analytics, and Strategic Human Resources Planning.
For the second position (at the rank of Associate or Assistant Professor), we are seeking an individual with a strong program of research in Strategic/Macro Human Resources Management, Organizational Theory, or Meso Organizational Behaviour. Candidates for this position should possess a PhD in a relevant discipline. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to teaching and supervision in our PhD program and to teaching in our undergraduate, MBA, and executive development programs, including EMBA. Courses that the successful candidate will be expected to teach include a subset of the following: organizational behaviour, human resources management, management skills development, negotiation, leadership, HR analytics, and Strategic Human Resources Planning.
DeGroote operates at two campuses, the McMaster University main campus in Hamilton, Ontario and a new state-of-the-art facility in nearby Burlington, Ontario, housing the MBA and executive programs. The successful candidate is expected to be active at both locations.
