Winthrop University, located in Rock Hill, SC has an open position in the Department of Management/Marketing to begin August 12, 2015.
Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of Management: Human Resources/Organizational Behavior
Major Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate business administration students; teach MBA students; conduct research in field of specialization; perform related business, community and university service; and other activities that support the mission of the College of Business Administration and Winthrop University.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in human resources, organizational behavior, or a closely related field with appropriate research required for rank of assistant or associate professor. ABD near completion may be considered. Candidate must provide evidence of effective teaching, with a focus on student learning outcomes, and demonstrate a record of or potential for quality scholarly research. A related area of interest in compensation, strategic human resource management, employment law, leadership, or sustainability is preferred. Desirable qualifications include business experience, ability to use multimedia in teaching, and familiarity with distance learning programs. Candidate strengths must complement current faculty and support the needs of the department.
Employment Conditions: A nine-month, full-time, tenure track appointment with the option of summer employment if funds are available. ABD candidates will be considered for a non-tenure track appointment as instructor until degree requirements are completed. Salary dependent upon qualifications.
