The Global Task Force for Humanitarian Work Psychology (http://www.humworkpsy.org) is pleased to invite you to a Virtual Roundtable hosted by the Australian Psychological Society's 9th Industrial and Organisational Psychology Conference in Brisbane, Australia (http://www.iopconference.com.au). Title: Humanitarian Work Psychology: Promoting Decent Work and Disaster Management
Topic: The session focuses on the important contemporary issues of disaster management and the promotion of decent work from the perspective of the growing discipline of humanitarian work psychology. The session will give academics, practitioners, and graduate students, including the panelists, a unique opportunity to: discuss the need/demand for work psychology in humanitarian crises; acquire an overview of recent applications of humanitarian work psychology at organisational, community, and policy levels; and explore collaborative strategies for building capacity in the domain within Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
Time: 1 am - 3 am GMT, Thursday 23 June.
