A useful set of SAGE methods books edited by my colleague Prof. John Nezlek:

    Dear Colleagues,

It is with considerable pleasure and humility that I bring to your attention a new series of books I have edited, published by Sage. As suggested by the subject line, it is entitled The SAGE Library of Methods in Social and Personality Psychology. The Library currently has five volumes, with likely additions in the future.

Each volume in the library provides a practically focused introduction to a technique or class of techniques. Individuals familiar with a specific body of knowledge have described how they do what they do in an accessible, straightforward fashion -- or at least as accessibly and straightforwardly as I could cajole them to be :-) . All the volumes have been reviewed by at least one non-native speaker of English to maximize their accessibility to non-native speakers (and frankly, to native speaker as well).

The Library is intended for various audiences -- graduate students, post-doctoral students, and faculty who may not have had the advantage of formal training in a technique or who want to "brush-up" their knowledge. The titles and authors are listed below.

Scale Construction and Psychometrics for Social and Personality Psychology R. Michael Furr, Wake Forest University

Multilevel Modeling for Social and Personality Psychology John B. Nezlek, College of William & Mary

Structural Equation Modeling for Social and Personality Psychology Rick H. Hoyle, Duke University

Implicit Measures for Social and Personality Psychology Laurie A. Rudman, Rutgers University

Social Psychophysiology for Social and Personality Psychology Jim Blascovich, University of California, Santa Barbara Wendy Berry Mendes, Harvard University Eric Vanman, University of Queensland Sally Dickerson, University of California

The following link will take you to the Sage site: SAGE Library link <http://www.sagepub.com/booksSeries.nav?series=Series1250&seriesDesc=The%2520SAGE%2520Library%2520of%2520Methods%2520in%2520Social%2520and%2520Personality%2520Psychology&_requestid=2196942&_requestid=581251&_requestid=2213616>

where the volumes are described in more detail. As noted on the website, you will receive a meaningful discount if the five volumes are purchased as a set.

Thank you for reading this message.

    Best regards,

    John
