    I am currently designing two new courses: (1) International OB/HRM and (2) Performance Management and was wondering if anyone has suggestions for any textbooks, movie clips or cases and syllabi that they have used for such courses.

    Hi Justice,

    I really like the Mello text "Strategic HRM" and draw on Ulrich (e.g. The HR Value Proposition) and Boudreau (Talentship) and Hamel (the Future of Management) to shift their thinking about the topic. I have sometimes got them to use cases from other subjects, but use a SHRM lens to demonstrate the need to take a integrative as well as strategic perspective.

    Hi Justice,

    I have used the case "Jindi Enterprises: Finding a New Sales Manager" (Ivey case, also available from Harvard Business School Publishing, product 903A09-PDF-ENG).  The case is set in China and involves many aspects of HR (HR strategy, selection, retention, rewards, performance management) as well as fascinating cultural issues.

    Hi Justice,
     
    I have been teaching a course in International HRM for the 2 years and use a mixture of cases from the book I use and some from Harvard/Ivey, and some movies. Am attaching my syllabus.
     
    I would really appreciate if you could share what you found from others with me.
