    Dear all,

I am currently working on a questionnaire to measure single- and double-loop learning in organizations in order to empirically test a generic model of organizational culture (see also 'A Generic Theory of Organizational Cutlure'; freely available at http://ssrn.com/author=1588580).

I mainly found papers that discussed single- and double-loop learning from a more theoretical point of view, but hardly found studies that directly measured/operationalized these two processes. Thus, I am wondering if anyone knows about scales which measure organizational single- and double-loop learning as separate variables.

Of course, I can compile a file with all suggested references, which I can share with you.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Daniel,

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with a measure that would perfectly fit your needs.

Nonetheless, a paper of hours might be at least tangentially useful for your work:

    Skerlavaj et al., 2007

    Best wishes,

    DanieL;

No quite as direct as you might hope - but the
model/descriptors/questionnaire for learning used in the following two
papers have more than a passing affinity with sll/dll:

    Spicer D.P. & Sadler-Smith E. (2006) Organizational Learning in
Smaller Manufacturing Firms. International Small Business Journal, 24
    (2):133-158. ISSN 0266-2426 DOI 10.1177/0266242606061836

    Sadler-Smith, E., Spicer, D.P. & Chaston, I. (2001) Learning
Orientations and Growth in Smaller Firms. Long Range Planning, 34:
    139-158. ISSN 0024-6301 DOI 10.1016/SC024-6301(01)00020-6

Good luck with the reserach - I'd be interested in hearing the outcomes.

    Best Regards,

    David
