  • 1.  building and measuring trust around a works council - unique university case study

    Dear Behavior Division,

at my university I was invited by a top member of the administration to help build trust around the newly implemented works council as well as to document this trust-building process. The implementation of a works council at a private university such as our university is the first of its kind in Germany. Therefore, the process is of interest to a wider audience.
I would like to kindly ask for your suggestions for appropriate trust building measures and how to document these. Of course, I am very much interested in sharing the information collected during the process and their subsequent analysis with you and hope for a fruitful exchange.

I have extensive experience with the case because I researched the implementation of the works council in depth from September-December 2010. For those interested I could provide further information on the works council's implementation.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

    Yours sincerely,
    Martin Freres

    Dear Martin,

Our group of trust researchers called the First International Network of Trust (FINT) has a website and quarterly newsletter, which covers such issues:

If you visit our website and Create a new account we will send you the newsletter.

We will provide access to articles about measuring trust for members (copyright prohibits making them available to all).

If you want back copies of FINTnews they are posted on the site.

We also have a bi-annual Trust Workshop planned for early 2012.

    Kind regards,
    Roxanne
    Editor FINTnews.
