Tae-Yol,
I teach an MBA course in cross-cultural management and will teach it again in the Spring, and I use the following books
- - Mor Barak, Michàlle (2011), Managing Diversity: Toward a Globally Inclusive Workplace (Second Edition). Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage Publications, Inc.
- - Ferraro, Gary P. (2011), The Cultural Dimension of International Business (Six Edition). Upper Saddle River, NJ: Pearson Prentice Hall.
I also asked student to read (I give to them as a handout):
- - Stewart, Edward C. (1991), "American Cultural Patterns: Form of Social Relations." In L. F. Luce (ed.), The French Speaking World. Lincolnwood, IL: National Textbook Company.
This article presents an view on social relations from the American perspective, which I then use to make comparison and contrast exercises. I normally include a handout of "domestic" cultural diversity, because we cannot be too effective in managing global cultural diversity, if do not become effective in managing our own diversity at home.
The syllabus I used last summer is attached! I will modify it a little for the Spring semester.
Thanks,
Ivan

Dear colleagues,
I will plan to teach a cross-cultural management course for MBA students as an elective course. Could you share your course syllabus, exercise, cases and etc?
