    16th Congress of the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology

    Münster, Germany, May 22nd-25th 2013

    The theme of the 16th EAWOP congress ‘Imagine the future world: How do we want to work tomorrow?’ intends to inspire new and innovative ideas on how to master the manifold new challenges we experience in work organizations today and tomorrow, such as globalization and digitalization of economic processes, flexible work with remote partners, demographic changes, financial turbulences, and growing climatic problems. Therefore, this congress is not only a stimulating event for the community of work and organizational psychologists, but shall also provide inspiring ideas and concepts for decision makers in related disciplines, consultancies, and politics.

    Call for Papers

    The EAWOP program committee cordially invites you to submit proposals for symposia, single papers, posters, panel discussions, and debates for the 16th EAWOP Conference. Contributions from both scientists and practitioners are very welcome, as well as contributions that connect a scientific and a practitioner perspective.

    Venue Information

    The 16th congress of the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP) is hosted in and around the famous Münster Palace (built 1757-1787). With its Baroque architecture, the adjacent botanic garden and its location at the heart of the city, Münster Palace constitutes a unique congress venue. The lecture building and the Fürstenberghaus offer further facilities for specific parts of the congress program and are conveniently located between the Palace and the Cathedral of Münster (5-10 min walking distance). The surrounding beautiful city (‘Most Liveable City in the World’ award by the United Nations, Europe’s ‘Most Beautiful Park’ 2009) provides plenty of opportunities to explore, relax, and enjoy.     Keynotes

    The 16th EAWOP congress will feature exciting keynotes around the congress theme ‘Imagine the future world: How do we want to work tomorrow?’ We are thrilled to announce Adrienne Collela (Tulane University), John M. Carroll (Pennsylvania State University), Filip Lievens (Ghent University), Todd Lubart (Université Paris Descartes), Deniz S. Ones (University of Minnesota), Hartmut Rosa (University in Jena), Sabine Sonnentag (University of Mannheim), and Donald Truxillo (Portland State University).     Submission Types and Review Process

    English is the official language for all congress communications. Participants can choose among different types of submission formats, including Scientific Symposium, Practitioner Forum, Scientist-Practitioner Collaborative Forum, Single Paper, Poster, Position Paper, Debate and Panel Discussion. All abstracts are submitted via the conference website www.eawop2013.org. The program committee will assign each submission to two international (blind) reviewers with high expertise in the related field (separate reviewers for scientific and practitioner submissions). The first author of an abstract is considered to be the presenter of the paper or chair of the symposium or forum at the conference.

    Submission Deadline and Dates

    All contributions are due by September 30st, 2012.

    Applicants will receive notification of acceptance no later than January 15th, 2013.

    Pre-conference Workshops

    On Wednesday, May 22nd, various pre-conference workshops on many relevant topics will be offered, such as innovative training methods, state of the art statistical methods, publishing strategies, etc. More information is provided at www.eawop2013.org.
