    Tenure Track Position Announcement

    Human Resource Management

    The Management Area of the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track, academic year position at open rank (Assistant, Associate or full Professor) in the primary area of Human Resource Management. Interest and ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate (MBA) level classes is desirable. Applicants must be able to teach one or more specialized courses such as compensation, staffing, employment law, or employee relations. A background in Human Resource Information Systems would be a plus.

    The successful candidate must have completed a doctorate or equivalent degree in Business or a closely related field from an AACSB or equivalent accredited institution. The Ph.D./DBA should be awarded by the time of appointment. Applicants are expected to demonstrate exemplary teaching and a strong publication record (corresponding to rank), as well as currency in their professional field.
