Good afternoon Jeff,
I don't know of a specific case. At BC's Leadership for
change Program there was a multi- pronged focus from
individual, groups, organizations and society. For
the individual focus, a portion of Robert Kegan's book
*In over our heads* was used. Also segments from
Bill Torbert's work (among others *Action Inquiry: The
Secret of Timely and Transforming Leadership) were
used. For groups Joe Raelin's led the segment using
his own work based learning materials.
Rebecca Rowley who heads up the LC program
may be able to provide more current information.
Best,
Cecile

Subject: [OB-LIST] Case Involving Individual Differences
We are launching our inaugural MBA program at Utah Valley University and the first course that I am facilitating is a course on Managing Individuals and Groups. One of our first sessions is going to be a review of the concepts and research related to individual differences, mostly around personality, attitudes, values and emotions. The week following that introduction I would like to have them prepare a case that involves having to understand and apply the ideas of individual differences in coworkers and subordinates. Does anyone know of a case that would be good for them to practice applying the topics mentioned above? It doesnt need to be free and I would love to have a Harvard case, but havent been able to locate one on their site yet. Thanks for you help on this.
