Registration is now open for the 3rd International Conference on Social Identity and Health (ICSIH-3) to be held in Brisbane (Queensland, Australia) from June 16-18, 2016.
Following the success of previous meetings in Exeter (UK) and Ottawa (Canada), and reflecting an upsurge of interest in this field, the conference will bring together researchers and practitioners from around the world to explore the application of social identity theorizing to issues of health and well-being.
The conference will have multiple presentational formats designed to maximize opportunities for interaction, and will include a full social program. It is expected that presentations will cover work on the role of social identity in mental, cognitive, and physical health - with work addressing issues such as stress, burnout, engagement, social exclusion, stigma, depression, addiction, trauma, mass gatherings, health communication, clinical assessment and intervention.
Details are available on the conference website: www.icsih.com
The call for abstracts is open until March 31st (when early bird-registration also closes). Note too that the website also contains details of travel scholarships for early-career researchers to support their attendance.
We look forward to welcoming you to the conference in June.
