    Dear OB List:

I have been teaching a survey course in applied business OB to undergraduates for about three years.  I want to do a better job of assessing how successful our school is in using service learning as a vehicle for grounding social justice, the ability of business to serve as an agent of change, and OB learning outcomes.

Does anyone have some suggested scales that I might use for a pre and post-course individual and group assessment of how well we are doing in achieving our learning outcomes through the use of service learning?  I am happy to compile and share the final scale list of suggestions with anyone who is interested.  Thank you in advance.

    Monika,

You might want to check out the following reference...

Bringle, Phillips & Hudson (2004). The measure of service-learning: Research scales to assess student experiences. Washington, DC: American Psychological Association.

It has several scales that you may find useful.  Please let me know what else you find.
