Resource allocation, assigning the available resources in an economic way, is a core strategic planning device for organizations. Teaching students how to deal with these allocations is therefore a critical aspect of any management education. In this workshop, Adam Galinsky, an award winning teaching expert, will introduce and explain a newly developed multi-purpose exercise that can be used to teach on leadership, ethics, procedural justice, persuasion, and information spinning. Adam Galinsky will first briefly introduce the exercise. The participants in the workshop will then play the exercise to get a feel for what processes play a role in this resource allocation. Finally, the exercise will be debriefed and the crucial teaching points will be addressed.

Pre-registration is required for this workshop. To register online, please visit https://secure.aomonline.org/PDWReg. The deadline to register online is August 4, 2010.
