Does anyone have any suggestions for a free or low cost, easy to use, content analysis software? What are your recommendations for doing content analysis? Thanks.

    Kathy,

I have used several times T-Lab, with high satisafction! It is pretty
simple with high statistical performances. Have a look to the website
    http://www.tlab.it/en/presentation.php
It is not at all expensive; I do have it and if you want I could
perform for you some analysis so that you can decide if it is worthy
or not. and anyway feel free to contact me for additional questions on
    the matter of content analysis

    bye

    Hello Katherine,

I just started using Nvivo8. The answer to your question, though, will depend on the type of data you are analyzing and the size of your samples of text. I find that Nvivo has been helpful for extensive data mining of smaller samples of text. Packages will also differ in terms of output: e.g. text samples or contingency tables. Another package to consider depending on your needs is Leximancer.

    Regards,
    Kathlyn
