    Ian O. Ihnatowycz CHAIR IN LEADERSHIP

     

    The Richard Ivey School of Business seeks candidates for a tenured Associate Professor or Professor for a new Chair in Leadership.  The successful candidate will be well recognized for his or her leadership-related research and thought leadership; as well as an ongoing record of impactful publications in quality academic and practitioner outlets. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent.  Demonstrated evidence of successfully building research and teaching communities is highly valued.

    The research and teaching conducted and stimulated by the holder of the Chair, as well as outreach activities, will further distinguish the Richard Ivey School of Business as an important source of relevant, applied research in leadership, and help develop the next generation of business leaders. The successful candidate will develop and implement an innovative leadership research agenda within the School. The Chair will engage in outreach activities in support of the Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership.  In recognition of his or her significant service and research responsibilities the Chair will have a reduced teaching workload.

    The Chair will be a key contributor to the Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership (www.iveyleadershipinstitute.ca).  The Institute plays a pivotal role in bringing together an array of leadership-related activities within the Richard Ivey School of Business and engaging contributors from outside the School.

    The Richard Ivey School of Business is Canada's premier business school, recognized worldwide for the quality of its management education and research. The School's major activities include: a highly regarded MBA/EMBA program, a distinctive undergraduate program and a well-established doctoral program; as well as an expanding portfolio of programs for executives. The School is internationally oriented in terms of curricula, research, faculty and student exchanges and has campuses in London, Toronto, and Hong Kong.

    This position is available to begin July 2012.  This position is subject to budget approval.  Applicants should have fluent written and oral communication skills in English.  All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
