    APOLOGIES FOR CROSS-POSTINGS ...

    Greetings!

We are recruiting for a Human Resources position for next year. The position announcement follows. It may also be found at: http://www.uwgb.edu/hr/jobs/position638.html. The individual hired will have tremendous opportunity to shape and lead our human resources curriculum.

The Austin E. Cofrin School of Business has a relatively small, collegial faculty (about 24 full-time members). We are strongly committed to excellence in teaching, quality scholarship, and service to our community. Quick facts:

    ·         The majority of our students are first-generation college students. For them, a university education is an important means to personal and professional success. They are hard-working, loyal, and conscientious.

    ·         Our faculty engage in a wide range of applied, pedagogical, and basic scholarship activities. Since our campus has a mission supporting interdisciplinary, problem-focused education, we are encouraged to engage in collaborative scholarship.

    ·         We are encouraged to participate in service at the unit, institutional, community, and professional levels. The Northeast Wisconsin community is especially supportive of our activities.

    ·         We are actively pursuing AACSB accreditation, with outstanding support from our top-level administration. This week, for example, we are moving into newly updated offices in a recently renovated building.

Green Bay, WI is a lovely community, with about 200,000 people in its metro area. The area offers a high quality of life, with outstanding schools, a low cost of living, four seasons of outdoor recreational activities, and good arts and entertainment choices.
