Assistant / Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior

We would like to invite applications for a full-time position in Organizational Behavior either immediately for the 2011-2012 or for the 2012-2013 academic years. While pre-doctorate candidates will be considered, the ideal candidate will already possess a Ph.D. and a track record of excellence in research and teaching. Though research in any OB area is acceptable, individuals whose research would complement the interests of our existing OB faculty are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates who have a strong background in research methods and a desire to work with doctoral students are preferred. Additional expertise in Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, or a related field will be considered favorably. The teaching load and salary are competitive and commensurate with qualifications. Faculty also receives annual research budgets, as well as outstanding computer, administrative, and library support.
Teaching will include both undergraduate and graduate courses in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management. Candidates should have an existing track record of publishing in top-tier journals, or a clear demonstration of the ability to do so, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, or a related discipline or field of study. We are particularly interested in individuals who are strong organizational citizens and who are interested in being an active member of a rich academic community.
The Organization Studies group within the Sabanci School of Management has a strong research orientation. Members of the group have published in journals such as Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, American Sociological Review, American Journal of Sociology, Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of International Business Studies and Organization Studies as well as a range of Turkish academic journals. Group members also serve as editorial board members in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Administrative Science Quarterly, Applied Psychology, Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, and Organization Studies.
