I suggest that you create the course as you go along. This will certainly make you a better impromptu speaker. ;)

Use the first class as an introduction to explain how the class will work, assignments, etc. But, tell them to come up with a list of a dozen current topics of interest within international culture. Make that list due by two or three days prior to the next class. Then combine the lists, and pick the ones that match the learning objectives of the course most closely. Then apply your own framework for structuring each session. I'd love to be a fly on the wall during the discussions!

I remember as a student that some professors would put the burden on us to bring up current issues related to class.  We had to prepare a short report and share it with the rest of the class.

    Dr, Haji,

for all they may be worth, here are two very current topics on culture and international management:

Another option is positive organizational psychology.  Potential topics include employee engagement, job crafting (great resources for these at the Center for Positive Organizational Scholarship at U Michigan), flow at work (happy to advise on that one), and psychological capital (research by Fred Luthans at U Nebraska Lincoln).

Recently, I received a notice that the Human Resource Management Journal had published a provocative paper series over this last year.  The papers can be found for free download on the HRMJ website.

Evidence-based management should be a part of that. The following website can help you a great deal: www.cebma.org
