I am doctoral student at IRMA , India. I am in the initial stage of proposal development. I am interested to study the microfinance sector in India from Organizational Behaviour perspective. The area, I am trying to explore is "what is the nature of formalization, happening in microfinance organizations ? How such formalization is influencing inclusion or exclusion of poor ?". Formalization is boradly defined as codification of behaviour and presence of rule in organization. As I am looking in the literature, I came across two types of formalization -enabling and coerceive and also effect of formalization on orgaization. But, now I am finding difficulty in exploring the question further. I am not sure as to how should I carry my investigation ahead to understand the relationship between formalization in microfnance organization and inclusion/exclusion of poor in their basket of beneficiaries.
I would be relieved to receive suggestions from researcher on the said topic.
