Get feedback on your research from scholars with rich editorial experience. Exchange experiences with colleagues like you at different schools. Learn about how senior scholars have built successful research careers. Gain advice on how to be an effective teacher and mentor. Discuss how to pursue different career paths and balance different career demands. The OB Junior Faculty Workshop addresses these issues and many more.

Are you a junior faculty member who has completed at least one year in a faculty position? Did you complete your doctoral studies within the last five years? If so, the OB Junior Faculty Workshop is designed with you in mind.

The workshop will begin with dinner the evening of Friday, August 3 and will end in the afternoon on Saturday, August 4. The workshop will include panel discussions with a diverse range of invited faculty fellows, as well as small group research discussions. Topics addressed will include Conducting Interesting and High Impact Research, Having Impact as a Teacher and Mentor, and Surviving the Tenure Process while Balancing Work and Family. The program also provides a unique opportunity to gain feedback on your own scholarly work. The following scholars will participate as faculty fellows: Deborah Ancona, Sigal Barsade, Gilad Chen, Kim Elsbach, Robin Ely, Miriam Erez, Deanne den Hartog, Herminia Ibarra, Karen Jehn, Barbara Lawrence, Sim Sitkin, Sabine Sonnentag, Barry Staw and Michele Williams.
