The Psychology Department of Baruch College of The City University of New York invites applications for a tenure-track position in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the Assistant Professor level to begin September 2010.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in his or her area of specialization. Applicants should show evidence of an independent research program that has the potential for outside funding and publications in top-tier journals. Area of research in I/O psychology is open, although we seek colleagues who complement current faculty strengths.
Baruch College has a large, dynamic doctoral program in I/O psychology and also offers masters and baccalaureate specializations in I/O. The current I/O faculty include: Karen Lyness, Harold Goldstein, Yochi Cohen-Charash, Charles Scherbaum, Loren Naidoo, Lise Saari (adjunct), Rob Silzer (adjunct), Hannah Rothstein (management), Joel Lefkowitz (emeritus), and Ed Hollander (emeritus).
Baruch College is ideally situated in the historic Gramercy Park area of Manhattan, offering many professional opportunities and easy access to several of New York's cultural attractions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of expertise, or equivalent by August 31, 2010. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, interest in productive scholarship, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. Applicants should be prepared to play an active role in mentoring students in degree programs. Women, individuals of color and members of other under-represented groups are strongly urged to apply.
