Olga,
This semester in my undergraduate Leadership class, I had my students
complete the outdoor ROPES course in the very first week, as a group.
It seems to have helped with group cohesion and morale.

Subject: [OB-LIST] Efficacy of outdoor team building exercises
Dear Colleagues,
Has anyone had experience implementing Outdoor/experiential/adventure
training or has references on the efficacy of outdoor team building
exercises (or the lack of it)? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Regards,
