Getting LQ ranked

  • 1. Getting LQ ranked

    Posted 10-14-2009 12:49

    Dear all,

I am in the process of getting Leadership Quarterly to be ranked in the ESSEC Business School ranking. Beyond local impact, the result will matter more broadly since ESSEC rankings is used in other institutions internationally, a situation reflected for instance by its inclusion in the Harzing "Journal Quality List".

Question: to inform the decision by our scientific committee, could you share the situation of this journal (LQ) in your institution?

The most convenient would be to email directly to me responses to the following questions in the table provided below, as soon as you possibly can, and I will send back the listserv the compilation of responses.

    1) Rank/category of this journal in your school/department (e.g., A+, A, A-, 0+, STAR etc)

    2) Highest-to-lowest categories of journals in your school/dept (e.g., A+ to C, or 0 to 4, or 1 to 4 etc) (please put in order of highest-lowest)

    3) Examples of mgmt/OBHR/applied psych journals in the same category as this journal in your school/department

    4) Examples of mgmt/OBHR/applied psych journals in a category higher than this journal in your school/department

To ensure it can easily compiled and shared back to everyone, I kindly suggest you to please send me your responses in the following table itself.

    Journal Name

    Your school name

Rank/category of this journal in your school/dept

Highest-to-lowest categories of journals in your school/dept

Examples of mgmt/OBHR/applied psych journals in the same category as this journal

Examples of mgmt/OBHR/applied psych journals in a category higher than this journal

    Leadership Quarterly

Thanks in advance if you care to help, and help a journal you appreciate!

PS: I already gathered the Impact factors and Harzing information.
