Assistant Professor Tenure-Track Position Opening Organizational Behavior/Human Resources Management
The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is seeking to hire one assistant professor in organizational behavior/human resources management to begin August 2013 with the College of Business Administration (CBA), subject to final budget approval. UIC is a major research university located near the heart of Chicago's business community, just minutes from the downtown "Loop" and Lake Michigan. UIC is situated on a 240-acre campus and is the largest university in Chicago, with over 27,000 students, and the most diverse in the Midwest. The CBA at UIC is the largest provider of undergraduate business education in Chicago. We also have full-time, evening, and Saturday MBA programs, two specialized master's programs in accounting and information sciences, as well as four PhD programs (OB/HR, Marketing, MIS, Business Statistics).The CBA is AACSB accredited with 2,200 undergraduate, 700 MBA and 40 Ph.D. students. To be considered for this position, applicants should have passed their dissertation defenses in OB/HR or a related discipline no later than August 1, 2013. Preference will be given to applicants who have been lead author on one or more peer-reviewed publications, and who provide strong evidence of scholarship as reflected in publications in highly regarded scientific journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Personnel Psychology. The salary will be competitive with leading public research universities.
We are seeking applicants who are able (and would enjoy) to be actively engaged in working with students in our OB/HR doctoral program.
Applicants preferably have experience independently teaching OB and/or HR courses. Evidence of teaching quality will be assessed.
