  • 1.  FEEDBACK ON ATTACHMENT COURSE SUGGESTIONS

    Dear Colleagues,

This summer I asked the OB List members for suggestions on a new course I was developing titled "Employee Attachment in Organizations."  First, let me thank everyone who was so helpful in providing suggestions for readings and concepts to cover.  I went from being panicked that I wouldn't have enough material when the semester started, to wondering how I was going to reduce the amount of material I had to a manageable figure!  With the wonderful motivation of a forced deadline ;-), however, I did manage to put it together.  I thought I would share with anyone who might be interested a compilation of the suggestions I received, along with the course syllabus and a couple of the assignments.  I've attached these as Word documents in order to make it easier to keep what's desired and delete what's not.  The documents include: a) the course syllabus; b) supplemental readings reference list; c) discussion leadership guidelines; d) semester project guidelines; e) compilation of course concepts and readings suggestions (*please forgive the mixture of citation styles in the reference list in this one - I used an automatic citation generation program, and wanted to save time in getting this out by including "as is").  Also, I have separately attached a copy of a very generous and extensive list of suggestions I received from Ronda Smith at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Again, in the interests of time, I did not attempt to incorporate Ronda's suggestions in the other list.  Thanks again to you all for your assistance.  Take care.

                            Jim
