I would like to make you aware of a Research Roundtable discussion designed to bring together scholars from the OB and Social Issues in Management (SIM) Divisions to explore emerging trends and themes that might be of relevance for future research in the two fields. It will take place Saturday, Aug. 8 4:40PM - 6:10PM at Fairmont Chicago in the State Room (see below link). I see this discussion as an opportunity for OB researchers to learn more about possible applications of their expertise to topical areas (e.g., corporate social responsibility) that heretofore have been largely macro in terms of research efforts. My own reading of these areas is that they are ripe for more micro applications. We will be fortunate to have facilitators at the session who are well-known OB researchers including David Day, Janet Dukerich, Glen Kreiner, and Craig Pearce.
