  • 1.  Individualist organization for survey research

    Hi everyone,

As part of my doctoral dissertation research, I am distributing an online survey to corporate employees to help investigate the moderating role of organizational culture on trust-building mechanisms and cooperation.  Thus far I have one large, highly collectivist, organization in the software development industry on board that is willing to have me distribute a 15-minute survey to 400 of their employees.  As a comparison, I'd also like to distribute the same survey to an equal number of employees in an organization with a more individualist culture, except my personal connections have left me dry in this regard.

I realize making such a bold request is a long shot, but do any of you have suggestions for individualist organizations (ideally also in the software development industry) that might be amenable to such a survey?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Best,
    Matt

P.S.  For the purposes of this brief email, I'm deliberately not addressing the nuances, merits or potential pitfalls of using the individualist-collectivist distinction.

    Hi Matt,

While I don't have a specific organization to suggest to you, I do
have the following tips/tricks that may help you obtain the research
access you need. Last year I was seeking out an organization for an
ethnographic study, and put together the following guide for
    soliciting access:
