    College of Business Administration, University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAHuntsville)

     

    The University of Alabama in Huntsville (www.uah.edu) invites nominations and applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Management; rank is open, although we prefer to make an appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level, depending on qualifications. We seek applicants who welcome the challenges and rewards of serving on the intellectually curious faculty of a growing college located in a dynamic and supportive high technology community.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Management or a closely related discipline, with a specialization in Organizational Behavior or Organizational Theory. Candidates must have an excellent record of publishing high quality research. We prefer candidates with research and teaching interests that align with one of our college's strategic thrusts: entrepreneurship, technology and innovation management, or managing creative and/or scientific workforces. Recent experience teaching and supervising doctoral students, business experience, and evidence of an ability to build relationships with business or government are pluses.

     

    APPLICATIONS:  Applicants must submit the following via email at mgtsearch@uah.edu: a letter of nomination or application; a vita, a research sample, evidence of teaching performance, and names and contact information for 3 references. Preference will be given to candidates who apply by September 1, 2013; the position will begin August 2014 or as soon as filled.  Search committee members will be at the August 2013 Academy of Management meeting to meet with potential applicants.
