  • 1.  Eudaimonic Happiness Scale

    Dear OB interest group members

    I am looking for a scale that measures eudaimonic happiness in the workplace.
    I would like to empirically test a set of propositions relating to the
    interplay between intrinsic motivation, eudaimonic happiness and absenteeism.

    Does anyone know about an eudaimonic happiness scale that would fit in the
    context of the workplace? I appreciate any suggestions.

    Dear Harmonie, The Deci and Ryan group usually use a measure of subjective vitality. YOu can find this short 6 item scale at www.selfdeterminationtheory.org.

  • 5.  Eudaimonic Happiness Scale

    Dear Harmonie,
     
    Ed Diener has included a scale in a recent book on happiness that he co-authors with his son (Biswas-Diener). Further, you could think of the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale that has been widely used in Europe but also in the US. See attached paper with the measure included.
