The items presented in a recent message to the OB list are not the LMX6
items. The actual LMX6 items can be found in Schriesheim, Neider,
Scandura, & Tepper, 1992 Educational and Psychological Measurement,
135-147. BTW, the LMX-MDM (Liden & Maslyn, 1998, JOM) items have not
changed since 1998. And aside from some researchers using different
response scales, the LMX-7 (items in Graen & Uhl-Bien, 1995, LQ) have not
changed either. It was prior to 1995 that there were frequent changes in

The LMX scale seems to change every year--but these items seem all to
pertain to empowerment (delegation). LMX used to be far broader in content.
