The Organisational Behaviour group of London Business School is currently seeking to fill one or more senior faculty positions (tenured associate or full professor). We are looking for exceptional scholars of organisational behaviour who want to work with an outstanding group of faculty in a unique environment that is highly international and in the heart of one of the most exciting cities in the world – providing extraordinary access to business, culture, and government.
The OB Group at London Business School
We are part of a research-led school ranked alongside such schools as Northwestern and Duke in the Financial Times research rankings. We emphasize and encourage high-impact, high-relevance research and dissemination in the premier academic journals (AMJ, AMR, ASQ, OS, ASR, JAP, AJS, JPSP, OBHDP, etc). Current research being conducted in the group engages issues such as Current research being conducted in the group engages issues such as decision-making, self-regulation, morality, power and status dynamics, negotiations, leadership, personality, organizational culture, and cross-cultural psychology. Current research faculty group members include Gabrielle Adams, Raina Brands, Daniel Cable, Daniel Effron, Rob Goffee, Lynda Gratton, Ena Inesi, Selin Kesebir, Gillian Ku, Celia Moore, Nigel Nicholson, Margaret Ormiston, Randall Peterson, Madan Pillutla, Aneeta Rattan, Niro Sivanathan, Stefan Thau and Xi Zou. In addition, we have a group of organization scholars that resides in the Strategy and Entrepreneurship department looking at topics such as inter-organizational relationships, social stratification processes, and institutional theory.
The OB group provides a very supportive research environment, with impressive access to leading global companies for both data and funding (75% of the Fortune 500 are located in London). The London Business School also offers excellent research funding support that covers the typical research expenses of faculty. Where extraordinary levels of funding are needed, the school provides excellent administrative support for grant applications to funding bodies such as the Economic and Social Research Council – several of our colleagues are recipients of generous research grants and fellowships. In addition, we have a behavioural research laboratory for conducting laboratory-based experimentation, and computing and library facilities (through the strong network of libraries of various colleges of the University of London and the British National Library) on a par with the best business schools worldwide.
The London Business School is a graduate college of the University of London, offering masters and Ph.D. programs plus an extensive Executive Education portfolio. Requirements
Applicants should have Ph.D.s in relevant fields and must have a strong record of published research in premier academic journals. Ideally, they should also have experience in teaching both MBAs and executives.
