Silvia:
I will send you a copy of a successfully funded NSF grant off-list. Having had the opportunity to attend a workshop sponsored by NSF that concentrated on the social sciences, I have some suggestions: First, it is absolutely essential to contact the Program Officer prior to submission. Second, determine whether the proposed research might be appropriately funded by more than one program and/or involve investigators across disciplines. In my case, the proposed research cut across three programs which allowed cost-sharing. Third, do not give up. Persistence, and responding to panel comments, can pay off.
Hope thus helps.
Best of luck on you proposal.

Hello,
I am interested in submitting a proposal to NSF, but I want to make sure that I am not overlooking anything obvious. If someone has put together an NSF proposal in the past and is willing to share a copy with me, I would really appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Silvia
