• 1. How to teach OB for Entrepreneurs, in particular team issues?

(sorry for cross-postings)
-------------------------------------
Dear colleagues:

I am preparing to teach OB issues in an executive program about
Entrepreneurship.

Would you have advice on how to teach "OB for the entrepreneurs", for
instance suggesting curriculum/textbook/cases? (I already teach an OB
course, my goal is to contextualize the message ;-)

In addition, I'd like to cover extensively issues about groups/teams:
• what makes groups to function properly
• what makes outstanding group performance
• how to manage group conflicts
• etc.

In terms of method, it'd be great to favor experiential learning using for
instance *games*, *simulations*, etc.

I am already aware of material available at Human Synergistics and Kellog
(but those are paying), and a few generalist books about team games.

Would you know of a good textbook/site/etc. that present team exercises of
good quality and explain how to integrate them pedagogically into an OB
and/or Entrepreneurship focus?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide,

Hi, Fabrice--

I would strongly recommend a team-based learning approach championed by Larry Michaelsen, formerly of the University of Oklahoma and now with the University of Central Missouri (see below). See also his book, Team-Based Learning.

I have used this powerful approach to teams in OB successfully for over a decade. I don't believe there is a more potent active learning pedagogy in this regard.
