Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business seeks qualified applicants to fill either a tenured faculty position in Organizational Behavior at the rank of Associate/Full Professor or a Professor of Practice position in OB for the National Capital Region.

The Associate/Full Professor (Posting #TR0140070) position is responsible for conducting research in Organizational Behavior and teaching management-related graduate courses at the MBA and doctoral levels. Candidates should have: (1) a Ph.D. in Management or a related field with a specialization in Organizational Behavior from an AACSB accredited school, (2) a strong program of scholarly Organizational Behavior research consistent with the rank for which the candidates applies, and (3) instructional capabilities at the MBA and doctoral levels. A secondary teaching area in International Business/Management, Human Resources, Technology Management, Ethics, Research Methods, Entrepreneurship, or Analytics is required. Due to the location in the National Capital Region, the candidate should have the ability to work independently and effectively use technology to connect with colleagues and students. The Department of Management consists of 20 full-time faculty members with a range of expertise in micro and macro areas of management and encourages intellectual discussions that cut across traditional research areas. We expect and support our faculty to actively engage in high quality research that is publishable in top outlets.

For the Professor of Practice (Posting #TR0140076) position, there are no research requirements but greater teaching and service responsibilities. Candidates should have: (1) a Ph.D. degree in Management or a related field, and (2) instructional capabilities at the MBA and doctoral levels. The candidate should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching Organizational Behavior and a secondary teaching area in International Business/Management, Human Resources, Technology Management, Ethics, Research Methods, Entrepreneurship, or Analytics. Due to the location in the National Capital Region, the candidate should have the ability to work independently and use technology to connect with students and colleagues. The candidate should have experience with outreach and involvement with community and professional networks, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The preferred candidate will have at least three years of teaching experience in Organizational Behavior or a related field and managerial experience in organizations.

The position is in Virginia Tech's National Capital Region (NCR). With facilities, faculty, graduate degrees, and research in the NCR since 1969, Virginia Tech has a long tradition of creating new knowledge and applying it to the critical problems facing the Washington D.C. area, the Commonwealth of Virginia, the nation, and the world.

The Pamplin College of Business offers majors in accounting and information systems, business information technology, economics, finance, hospitality and tourism management, management, and marketing. Its on-campus enrollment is about 3,600 undergraduates and about 290 full-time graduate students in the Master of Accounting and Information Systems, Master of Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Ph.D. programs. The college enrolls about 163 evening MBA and about 55 executive MBA students at Virginia Tech's Northern Virginia Center, and about 50 professional MBA students, who take classes that alternate between Roanoke and Richmond.
