    Abdul,
    I suggest the following papers on emotion:

    * Hareli, S., & Rafaeli, A. 2008. Emotion cycles: On the social influence of emotion in organizations. In B. M. Staw (Ed.), Research in Organizational Behavior (Vol. 28, pp. 35–59), Greenwich, CT: Elsevier.

    * Ferris, G.R., Munyon, T.P., Basik, K., & Buckley, M.R. 2008. The performance evaluation context: Social, emotional, cognitive, political, and relationship components. Human Resource Management Review, 18: 146-163.

    * Halbesleben, J. R. B., & Buckley, M. R. (2004). Burnout in organizational life. Journal of
    Management, 30, 859-879.

    The first paper is a theoretical model that discusses interpersonal effects of emotion (positive and negative). The second contains an application in a performance evaluation context. Next, one symptom of burnout is emotional exhaustion (a response to working conditions), so you might want to reference the Halbesleden & Buckley review. Finally, if I'm not mistaken, Alicia Grandey also has an extensive review piece coming out in the Handbook of Organizational Behavior on emotions.

    Best of luck in your research.

    Sincerely,

    Tim Munyon
