Hi All,
I have received many responses concerning about my request for suggestions
on turnover literature. And I sincerely appreciate all the help and
attentions. But it seems that my use of such request for help has caused
series of questions over whether I should do my literature review first
and then ask for opinions. I am sorry for any inappropriate use if
committed. Actually this is my first time to use this listserve and I
would take more into consideration before doing so in the future.
What I want to clarify here, however, is that actually before sending our
such message through listserve, I did spend a lot of time searched the
database (e.g., JAP, AMR, AMJ, ASQ, Personnel Psy, OBHDP, Research in
Personnel & HRM, HRM Review, and etc) about the topic of turnover. I ended
up with 139 articles that I personally considered to be most relevant to
my study. I then categorized them based on their main research topics that
related to turnover. What I also did is checking the references of several
classic studies (such as ones written by Hom, Lee, Griffith, Shaw,
Gerhart, and etc) on turnover for supplement. But since I was not sure
whether I miss some good research paper that might be included in book
chapters or other non-top-tier-level journals. I just want to make sure I
have looked at papers that I should never miss. That's my initial intent
of sending such message through listserve but perhaps I did not express
myself in an appropriate way.
Anyway, thank you all for your help and attentions. I appreciate that.
Best regards,
Kevin Huang
