Dear Colleagues -
We are pleased to announce that early-bird registration is now open for the 2015 Leading to Well-Being in Workplaces, Organizations, and Communities Conference on March 27, 2014 at the Marriott Fairview Park, in Falls Church, VA, just outside Washington DC. The 2015 conference features keynote speakers Daniel Pink and Kelly McGonigal and provides answers to key questions such as how can organizations, workplaces and communities achieve greater levels of thriving together? What impact does well-being have on employees and organizational members?
A rapidly growing number of organizations from all sectors are adopting the science and application of well-being as a way to enhance employees' and members' satisfaction, life purpose, and engagement. These strategies are paying off with gains in productivity, lower health care costs, higher quality relationships, and increased mental agility and creativity among organizational and team members.
Co-sponsored by George Mason University's MasonLeads and the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being, the 2015 conference features keynote speakers, industry leaders, notable scholars, and practitioners from across the country who are advancing these practices and concepts in their organizations. The new extended format offers a unique (and optional) half-day opportunity to work closely with experts from the Chopra Center on Workplace Well-Being.
There are a limited number of tickets available – and space for the special Thursday session with the Chopra Center is limited – so we encourage you to register early.
About the Conference
Our world is calling for new ways of thinking about and practicing leadership – processes that are generative, engaging, inclusive, nimble, authentic, mindful, and result in human flourishing. The Leading to Well-Being Conference, initiated in 2010 and co-sponsored by MasonLeads and the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being (CWB) at George Mason University, includes notable scholars and industry leaders addressing innovations in leadership and well-being. The concept of Leading to Well-Being starts with the individual and then engages others in the exploration of meaning, purpose, positive relationships, and mindfulness.
