    Announcement of Faculty Positions
    Department of Management

    Texas A&M University

     

    Positions and Qualifications:  The faculty in the Department of Management at Texas A&M University is pleased to announce that we are seeking to add one new colleague to our group beginning in the fall of 2009.  Specifically, we plan to hire tenure-track faculty for a position in the following area:

     

    • A junior-level position in Human Resource Management or Organizational Behavior, with a preference to hire at the assistant professor level.

     

    Applicants should possess an earned doctorate or demonstrate a strong likelihood of obtaining the doctorate by the fall of 2009. In addition, applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability and interest to conduct and publish research in top quality journals, the potential and interest to teach effectively, and the ability to contribute as a good colleague.  Teaching opportunities exist at the undergraduate, graduate (Ph.D. and masters), and executive levels. For the mid-level position, applicants should have an established record of publications in their field's leading journals.

     

    Applications:  An applicant should provide a cover letter and resumé that includes:  (1) educational achievement, (2) research/publication record, (3) indicators of teaching activity/effectiveness or potential, (4) work and other experience, (5) statements of the applicant's expectations and professional goals, (6) other data deemed relevant by the applicant, and (7) a list of three references with addresses (including e-mail addresses) and phone numbers.  We also welcome writing samples and recent article reprints.
