    INDUSTRIAL/ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY

    VISITING PROFESSOR POSITION

     

    DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, PORTLAND STATE UNIVERSITY, PORTLAND, OREGON

     

    The Department of Psychology at Portland State University (PSU) has an opening for a Visiting Professor of Industrial/Organizational

    Psychology with a September, 2008 start date.  The anticipated ending date for this appointment is at the end of the Spring, 2009 quarter at PSU, but applications for shorter visiting periods will also be considered. The department has a strong applied research orientation

    and has an Applied Psychology Ph.D. program with specializations in Industrial/Organizational, Applied Developmental, and Applied

    Social/Community psychology.

     

    A doctoral degree in I/O psychology or a related area is preferred; someone who is ABD would be considered. Preferred area of

    specialization is in Organizational Psychology and/or Occupational Health Psychology. Responsibilities include teaching graduate and

    undergraduate courses in I/O; contributing to the research (scholarship) agenda of the I/O area and the Psychology Department;

    and supporting the degree completion efforts of our Doctoral students.

     

    A research and publication record in I/O psychology is desired. The salary rate for this position will be competitive, with an excellent

    benefits package.
