    The Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management (OBHR) group in the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track faculty position in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources, with the appointment effective as of August, 2009.  The rank for the position is at the assistant professor level and we encourage new and experienced assistant professors to apply. A Ph.D. degree (or near completion of) is required. We are open to any applicant who shows outstanding promise as a teacher, researcher, and colleague. We are particularly interested in candidates who have an outstanding record of innovative and highly regarded OB and/or HR research at any level of analysis (e.g., micro, macro, meso).  Opportunities exist to teach subjects at the undergraduate, MS, MBA, or Ph.D. level.  Potential for teaching in executive degree programs is desirable, though not required.  
     
    The Krannert School of Management (www.mgmt.purdue.edu) is located in West Lafayette, IN (120 mi. south of Chicago; 60 mi. north of Indianapolis) and is consistently ranked as one of the top 25 Management programs in the world in outlets such as the Wall Street Journal (as high as 10th) and US News & World Report. Our OBHR faculty are productive research scholars and (combined with strategy) we rank among the top 10 universities (tied with Northwestern) in top-tier publication productivity from 2003-2006. Faculty members are active scholars who are trained in human resource management, organizational behavior, industrial relations, psychology, and sociology.  A number of our faculty hold research and teaching awards, serve as journal editors and on editorial boards, and serve as officers in national professional associations.  The Krannert School offers a Masters of Science in Human Resource Management, as well as a highly ranked MBA, and has an active OBHR Ph.D. program.  OBHR faculty members teach in undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. programs as well as executive masters and non-degree programs.   We value colleagues who are collaborative and collegial.
