Hi Stephanie--Check out the work done by David Gaba at Stanford and David Van Stralen. Both have done work on safety climate and design in health care and patient safety. Kuo

Subject: Re: safety climate meta-analysis
Hi Stephanie,
I have recently found out that there is a lot of interest in safety climate in health care, both overall and focused on patient safety, so you may want to check pubmed as well as psycinfo.

One of my students and I are conducting a meta-analysis of the safety climate-accident/injury relationship. If you have any conference papers, working papers, or unpublished data addressing this relationship, please e-mail me at

BTW, we are aware of the meta-analysis published in JOHP by Sharon Clarke. Our meta-analysis focuses particularly on moderators of the climate-accident relationship.
Thanks!
