    Hi Andreas-
I agree with the suggestions by others to use weekly group cases, especially if you have students complete team tools (e.g., contracts and 360-appraisal) to help them manage the experience.

Additionally, I've had good feedback from having student groups complete a simple consulting project or analysis of a local business of their choosing (in which they must interact with a company contact). This gives them an opportunity to explore a business or industry of personal interest and apply course lessons to a real company. In the past 2 terms I've structured the assignment as a workforce scorecard analysis (see attached), other times as a functional consulting assignment. In each class, I reserve 15-20 minutes for student groups to report on how the course topic of the day applies to their company. Again, it helps to have students develop team tools to achieve synergistic results.

Best of luck in your efforts!

Subject: Group projects basic OB MBA course

    Dear colleagues,
I was wondering whether I could ask for your suggestions/ideas re group
projects suitable for the basic first term OB course in an international MBA
class. The class is highly cultural diverse, yet predominantly Latin
students. Interests of students vary largely, with many having preferences
for rather other disciplines such as finance and entrepreneurship.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

    With kind regards,

    Andreas
