Applications are invited for a tenure-track appointment at the
Assistant Professor level starting July 1, 2008. Candidates are expected to
have a Ph. D. in psychology or to be near completion of the degree. We seek
an individual with teaching skills in statistics, research methods, and
psychometrics and research skills in industrial-organizational psychology.
The successful applicant will join a growing, 17-member Department. As well
as meeting their teaching responsibilities (which may include other areas of
psychology) the successful candidate will be expected to conduct and
supervise research and to contribute to the Department's graduate programs.
The Department has a major and honours curriculum and offers M.Sc. and Ph.D.
degrees in industrial and organizational psychology and a certificate
program in Human Resource Management. The successful applicant will also
have the opportunity to participate in the CN Centre for Occupational Health
and Safety and the Centre for Leadership Excellence. Candidates should
present evidence, commensurate with experience, of their teaching ability,
willingness to supervise both undergraduate and graduate students, and
scholarly productivity.
