The School of Business Administration at Oakland University is recruiting a faculty member to teach introductory and advanced undergraduate and graduate level courses in Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management and maintain a high-quality of research and service activities appropriate to the position beginning August 2009.
Oakland University (OU) is a state-supported institution located in Rochester, Michigan, approximately 25 miles north of Detroit among the rolling hills and woodlands of Meadowbrook, the former Dodge-Wilson estate in Oakland County. Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management, Labor and Industrial Relations or Industrial/Organizational Psychology from an accredited AACSB International or equivalent accredited institution by August 15, 2009;
We are particularly interested in individuals who not only can teach introductory classes in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources Management, candidates should have specific competency in one of the following advanced areas: Human Resource Information Systems, Organizational Development, Compensation/Benefits or Leadership and Motivation;
Evidence of teaching effectiveness through evaluations or letters;
Evidence of achievement in scholarship such as presentations at scholarly conferences and/or journal articles;
Desired Characteristics/Qualifications:
• Potential for successful interactions with the business community ;
• Evidence of MBA teaching experience;
• Evidence of clearly developed research track in OB/HRM;
• Evidence of obtaining external grant funding
