Dear Ranjit, I use a book called Hiring Right, a practical guide for
managers, published by Sage. It's very inexpensive on Amazon. The major
assignment for the semester is that each student pick a particular job to
hire for... and follow the book outline. Develop the job analysis, create
the application form, the interview questions, the employee tests, the
reference checking process, etc. At the end of the semester, there is a
full-blown hiring plan, and a deep understanding of the process for
developing one.
