I am working on a project where we have video recorded, onto DVD, subjects working as a team, and now want to start coding it.  Most of the articles that note use of video coding software say they used CAMERA by proGAMMA, but that company does not appear to sell it anymore.  Does anyone know if it is still available elsewhere?  I have also looked into Observer software by Noldus.  Does anyone have experience with this software, or any other that they might recommend?

I am working on a similar project and facing a similar problem.  Aaron! I was also looking into Observer (Noldus). However, would like to know if anybody knows how to use it?

Though I do not know CAMERA, I know that NViVO is out in a brand-new edition, as of the past few weeks.  I think it's pretty widely available (including from ProGAMMA and, I think, QLS)

    Aaron,

NVIVO 8 deals with media documents such as audio and video. There is a web training schedule available right now. Please visit this website to get more information:
I am supposed to use this version in the few coming days. I will let you know how I feel about it. I liked though the web training I went through.

    All the best

Aaron Windeler asked about software for coding videos for research.

Aaron, have a look at Transana, which can be found at the following web
site. It might meet your needs.

    http://www.transana.org/

It has been developed by researchers, is relatively cheap, and open source.

    regards,

    Catherine
