ELSIN 2008: "Style and cultural differences: how can organisations,
regions and countries take advantage of style differences?"
Preliminary schedule
Dear colleagues,
Do you want to keep yourself informed on the latest research on learning
or cognitive styles?
Are you eager to share experiences about how to use differences in
thinking and learning in organisations?
Then you might be interested to join the 13th annual European Learning
Styles Information Network (ELSIN) conference. Central theme is 'Style
and cultural differences: how can organisations, regions and countries
take advantage of style differences?'. This unique event takes place on
23, 24 and 25 June 2008 at the Ghent Campus of Vlerick Leuven Gent
Management School (Belgium). It is also possible to attend only one day
of the conference.
We are happy to announce that we received a wide variety of
contributions for presentation at the ELSIN 2008 conference. The
conference schedule includes:
* four keynote lectures by Li-fang Zhang (Hong Kong), Velda McCune
(UK), Luciara Nardon (Brazil), and David Venter (South-Africa)
* 46 individual papers in which scientists from all over the world
present their research in the field of styles and strategies of thinking
and learning
* nine workshops (incl. a PhD workshop) that provide an
interactive and active learning forum to exchange experiences and
knowledge
* three symposia with relevance for the future of the style field
